SAFE ENVIRONMENT TRAINING
Volunteers at St. Michael’s Parish who are involved in any Parish activity that entrusts the care, responsibility, or supervision of children or vulnerable adults is REQUIRED by the Diocese to take a Safe Environment Training. Join The Prayerline Ministry
The Prayerline Ministry is in need of members who will pass along prayer requests. The number of phone calls varies with the time of year but usually it is approximately 6 calls per week. If you would be interested in joining this ministry, please call Juanita at 921-2034.
PRAY FOR OUR TROOPS
If you have a family member serving overseas, call the Parish Office (349-4174) and we will publish their names in the bulletin to remind everyone to ask for God’s blessings on them. Please let the Parish Office know when they return safely home, so that we may also rejoice with you and remove their name from this list. Please contact Gerry Tausch at 924-3251 for support of our military through Grass-Roots-4-the-Troops.org.
BABIES' AND CHILDREN'S GARDEN
This garden is located in the rear parking area by the grotto and is a place for remembering babies and young children who have lost their lives for many different reasons. Bricks, engraved in memory of a child, are available to purchase for $100 per brick. Order forms are available in the Parish Office.
GOING IN THE HOSPITAL?
Both Sarasota Memorial and Doctor’s Hospital have a Catholic Priest assigned to visit the Catholics in the hospital. Upon entering either hospital, inform them that you are Catholic and would like a priest to visit.

CELEBRATING A SACRAMENT THIS YEAR? Has your child reached an age to begin preparing for the reception of the Sacrament of First Communion or Confirmation? In the Diocese of Venice, Bishop Frank Dewane has mandated the Religious Education and "Sacramental Preparation" programs for children receiving First Communion or Confirmation will be a two year process. The Sacrament of First Communion is usually celebrated in the Second Grade. The preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation will begin in Grade Nine, culminating in the reception of the Sacrament at the end of Grade Ten.
