St. Michael the Archangel

Digital & Online Ministry

The Digital & Online Ministry strives to amplify the parish messages by using effective communication methods, providing interesting content, and engaging with others outside the Mass.  Explore the tools currently being used by the parish below.  If you have an interest in volunteering in any of these areas or learning more, please fill out the form below.

Website

In today's digital world, an online presence is essential for every Church parish. Websites serve as a veritable hub of information, necessary for a parish to engage its audience, stay connected with the community, and provide information and resources.  Websites also provide an opportunity to showcase our pastor, staff and volunteers, as well as our beautifully renovated space, attract and welcome visitors and new members, promote ministries, advertise events, and provide a simple way to give. Keeping a website current is time-intensive, so we welcome volunteers with web experience.

Weekly Bulletin

Be sure to grab a bulletin after Masses each week for pertinent information, messages from our pastor, reflections, information on events and much more. The bulletin has gone through several changes over the past several years as we strive to provide interesting and educational content as well as all the parish news, calendar events, and observances, intentions, and readings for the week. The bulletin is available following weekend Masses and may also be viewed HERE on our website.

Live-Streaming

For those who are unable to physically attend Mass, St. Michael's is pleased to offer a live-stream of every Mass offered at our parish. Upon request, we also offer live-streaming for baptisms, weddings and funerals for those who cannot attend in person. All live-streams are available on our YouTube channel and can be accessed from our website. Please note that watching Mass via live-stream is not the same as attending Mass and does not fulfill one’s Sunday/holy day obligation. However, if someone is unable to attend Mass, then there is no obligation to attend Mass.

Social Media

Social media is an important tool in today's digital world.  At St. Michael the Archangel, we use our social media pages to share inspiring messages, uplifting quotes, and other content that promotes the messages of the Church.  We share parish information, promote events, educate our followers, and create an online community for the faithful.  Our current platforms include Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and X (formerly Twitter).

Flocknotes

Those who sign up for Flocknotes are added to the parish email distribution list.  Flocknote allows us to communicate with our parishioners at times other than during Mass when there is important information to share. In addition, we send a weekly email on Sunday evenings to provide information about the week ahead. You can sign up for Flocknote below, or by filling out a blue card at the parish office or in the church.

Photography

Photography is one of the most important tools we have to promote our parish and capture important moments within our parish family.  From baptisms to weddings, parish events and simply capturing the beauty of the Mass, we're always in need of good photos to use in our communications. If you have parish-related photos to share, we invite you to share with us along with your consent for use to stmichaelssiesta@gmail.com
